by talking about Cognacs, Liqueurs,
Cordials and Brandies!

WHAT ?

Lets try to make it a little less confusing !

Brandy-
A liqueur distilled from wine aged in wood.
The finest brandies are cognacs.

Cognacs-
True cognacs are from the Cognac region of France.
They are the finest of all Brandies.
Double-distilled
for a minimum of 3 years in Oak vats.

Liqueurs ( AKA ) Cordials-
A sweet alcoholic beverage
made from an infusion of flavoring ingredients
such as fruit, herbs, flowers, nuts and spices
and a spirit such as brandy, rum or whiskey.

*** Aperitif ***
French term referring to a light alcoholic drink
taken before a meal to stimulate appetite.

VSOP= Very Superior Old Pale

VVSOP= Very,Very Superior Old Pale

XO= Extra & Reserve
