Seven Layer Dip


Seven great tastes
every time you dip a chip.

2 medium avocados, pitted and peeled 
1-tablespoon fresh lime juice 
1-teaspoon hot pepper sauce 
Salt to taste 
1 28-ounce can refried beans 
1 1/2 cup grated cheddar cheese 
2 medium tomatoes, coarsely chopped 
5 green onions, chopped 
1/2 cup sliced black olives 
1/3 cup sliced or chopped 
pickled jalapeno chiles (optional) 
1-cup sour cream 

Mash the avocados 
in a bowl with the lime juice, 
hot pepper sauce and salt to taste. 
Set guacamole aside. 
Spread refried beans 
in the bottom of a 10-inch 
diameter round glass pie dish. 
Top the beans with the guacamole, 
spreading evenly. 
Sprinkle the cheese over, 
then the tomatoes, green onions 
and olives. 
Add the jalapenos if desired, 
then dollop the sour cream 
decoratively over the top. 

Serve with tortilla chips.
 
Can be refrigerated up to 
4 hours before serving.
