Chocolate Cherry Bars
1 package cake mix,
devil's food
2 eggs, beaten
1 teaspoon almond extract
1 can cherry pie filling
1 cup granulated sugar
5 tablespoons butter
1/3 cup whole milk
1 cup semisweet
chocolate chips
Heat oven to 350 degrees.
Grease a 13x9-inch pan.
In a large bowl,
stir cake mix, eggs, extract,
and cherry pie filling by hand.
Pour mixture into pan and bake
for 24-30 minutes.
In a saucepan,
heat to boiling,
sugar, butter, and milk;
stirring constantly.
Stir in chocolate chips
until smooth.
Pour over bars.
