Easy Gingerbread Cookies


1 cup butter
1 1/4 cup Sugar

Mix well and add

2 eggs
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon baking powder
2 teaspoons cinnamon
2 teaspoons ginger
1 cup molasses

Add flour until dough isn't sticky.
Dough is easier to work with
if chilled for several hours.
However,
if time doesn't permit
you can omit this step.
Roll dough on slightly floured surface
until it's about an 1/8 of an inch thick.
Cut into shapes
and place on baking sheets.
Bake at 350 F for about 8 minutes,
watch closely
as stoves tend to vary.
Cool at room temperature
about an hour
and decorate as desired.
