Helada Frita
Fried Ice Cream

1 qt. Vanilla Ice Cream
1/2 tsp. Ground Cinnamon
1/2 cup Sugar
1 cup Corn Flakes
Oil for deep fryer
1/4 cup Honey

1. Let the ice cream stand
at room temperature
for about five minutes to soften.

2. Combine the cinnamon,
sugar, and corn flake
crumbs in a shallow pan.

3. Using an ice cream scoop,
make four balls of ice cream.
Roll these in the crumb mixture
and cover completely.

4. Wrap each ball in
aluminum foil and freeze
for at least five hours.

5. Heat oil to 450 degrees
in a deep pan.
Uncover ice cream balls and
deep fry briefly,
about 2 seconds.

6. Drain momentarily
and place in dessert dishes.
Top each with 1 tablespoon honey.
