Aqua --water
Agua horchata -- rice drink with cinnamon
Agua jamaica -- refreshing red drink
from the jamaica flower
Aguardiente -- Brandy
Atole --
A gruel-like blue corn-meal drink.
Is either served with sugar, scalded milk, or both.
Cafe --Coffee
Cafe de olla --
coffee flavored with cinnamon and sugar
Cerveza -- Beer
Chocolate--
Hot chocolate using Mexican chocolate
as a main ingredient
and seasoned with cinnamon, cloves and vanilla.
Usually served with biscochitos.
Ginebra -- Gin
Jugo -- juice
Jugo de Naranja -- Orange Juice
Kahlúa --
coffee-flavored liqueur made in Mexico
Leche -- milk
Licuados -- milk shake
Preparados -- (aguas de frutas)
juice made from fruit such as watermelon
Pulque -- fermented juice of agave plant
Puro de caña --
distilled from sugar cane, stronger than mescal, less taste
Refrescos -- Soft Drinks
Rompope --
liquor of egg, milk, vanilla, and cinnamon
Ron -- Rum
Sangría -- a drink made of red or white wine, sugar,
oranges, lemons and lime
Tazcalate -- refreshing drink with chocolate,
based on corn, with water or milk
Té Caliente -- Hot Tea
Té Helado -- Iced Tea
Tequila --
distilled liquor made from agave, or century plant
Vino -- wine
Vino Blanco -- White Wine
Vino Rosado -- Rose Wine
Vino Tinto -- Red Wine
