Salsa Roja

  
3  ripe tomatoes, seeded and chopped 
1  onion, chopped 
3  serrano chiles, seeded and chopped 
2 tsp lime juice 
1 tbsp coarsely chopped 
fresh cilantro leaves 
2 tsp salt 
1  onion, chopped 
  
Stir all the ingredients 
in a bowl until well combined. 
Cover the bowl with plastic wrap 
and refrigerate for 2-3 hours 
to allow the flavors to mature.
You may serve this salsa chilled 
or at room temperature.
