Chile and other South American Wines
Chile is a unique grape growing area.
The vineyards have no diseases,
the vines live very long,
the weather is perfect and
the water supply is plentiful
for irrigation.
The wines produced are fresh,
fruity and affordable.
Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon
are popular, followed by Chardonnay
and Sauvignon Blanc.
Brazil produces wine in the Southern
part of the country known as the Aurora Valley.
The moist climate makes it difficult
to cultivate but the final product
is easy drinking and value priced.
Argentina is the world's 4th largest
wine producer but it exports very little.
Mostly succesful with red wines of
quality that are beginning to enter the market.
